Principle

This website is deliberately data-minimal. We use no analytics or tracking services, embed no third-party content (such as Google Fonts or social networks), and set no advertising cookies. Fonts are served from our own server.

Server log files

When you visit the site, data is automatically stored in a server log file: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, data volume transferred, HTTP status code, referrer, and browser and operating-system type. This serves the technical delivery, stability, and security of the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after a short period.

Cookies

We use a single, strictly necessary cookie (xqtap_lang) that stores your language choice. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking. Legal basis: § 25(2) TTDSG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contacting us

If you email us, we process your details to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once no longer needed.

Hosting

The website runs on infrastructure operated by XIQIT GmbH within the EU.

Our apps

Typewriter works entirely offline. The app collects no personal data, transmits no data to us or third parties, and contains no analytics or tracking. All documents stay on your device.

Finsternis is in development; its privacy information will be added before release.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Data Protection Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
